Two Threads Are Better Than One

submitted by Angélique Sarolea

To prevent knots from forming when you’re hand-sewing with a double strand of thread, never use a single strand folded in half. Because the two sides of the thread are running in opposite directions, they’ll tangle and knot. Instead, cut two separate strands, keeping them in the same direction as they came off the spool, and thread them together through the needle.
