The dark blue lace pencil skirt

For the past month, I’ve been occupied with a pencil skirt in dark blue soutache lace and silk. High waisted and down to the knee, just as I love them. Four darts in front, four in the back, a zipper and a slit. A really easy design, but with really exclusive materials.

The lace is attached to dark grey silk satin and silk organza, and then fully lined.

This project required a lot of hand sewing and huge amounts of basting, making it a real couture experience. And I loved every stitch along the way!

The pattern is drafted by me, and as usual, you can find all details on my blog (it’s acutally a story in six parts – from start to end!): www.stinap.com
