I designed all 7 dresses for this Wedding party. The fully gathered skirt of the wedding gown was hand basted to the bodice and removed after the reception to reveal a scalloped lace overlay edging the bodice hem and a new shorter skirt with matching Italian heel brocaded shoes, all hand done. This gown was the peak of my designing career and appraised at over $2000.00 (I almost fainted!) The bridesmaid dresses were deep purple lame’ with organza overskirts. The flower girls were little Pink Bo Peeps!

Wonderful work! I am in the process of creating my own wedding gown from my original design. It is exhilarating and scary all at the same time. Making my machine achieve my vision is likely the biggest "scare". Simple couture techniques mean so much more when you need them to work right on the "real McCoy". Any tips on hemming organza would be much appreciated!
