The very simple little black dress

This is my very simple little black dress. It’s fitted. 3/4-length sleeves. High neckline in front and in the back. A vent. The only embellishment is the bound edges of sleeves and neckline. And I think I can wear this more or less every day – I love it!

It’s a self-drafted pattern with lots of darts – 16 in total – and really simple to sew. I made it in a wool crêpe with acetate-cupro lining bought in Lisbon. As usual; lots of details are hand stitched – part of the bias binding, the zipper, the hems, part of the lining…

Please visit my blog http://www.stinap.com for more details on constructing and sewing – and more pictures of course!
