Simplicity 1066, jacket

Discover most of the details found in a traditional tailored blazer on a stylish jacket pattern from Mimi G Style for Simplicity. It has two variations: a fully interfaced front; two-piece, notched collar and lapel; front and back princess seams; a two-button closure at the waist; two-piece sleeves with a vent and buttons; a center-back seam with a hemline vent; and a full lining. One view has bellows pockets with flaps and optional buttons, and a self-fabric belt with belt loops, while the other view has front and back shoulder yokes. This design includes separate front, side front, and front facing pattern pieces for bust sizes B, C, D, and DD, so you can customize the fit without time-consuming adjustments. Select medium-weight, firm fabrics such as brocade, silk dupioni, shantung, denim, or broadcloth. For the contrast collar and yoke, use faux leather or suede. You can find an accompanying video tutorial by Mimi G on YouTube, with step-by-step instructions.

(Sized Misses’ 6-24 for busts 30.5-46 in.)

Style Tip: Combine either jacket style with a pencil skirt for a business suit, or pair with jeans for a sporty look.
