Matching Patterns on Pockets

submitted by Judy Rand
from Threads #118

Here’s a simple trick for matching pocket fabric when cutting out a print shirt. Position the pocket pattern piece on top of the cutout front piece, align the placement marks using a purple disappearing marker, and trace the outline of the dominant print onto the tissue pattern. When you cut the pocket fabric, you’ll know exactly where to match the design, and the purple marks disappear by the next time you use the pattern.
