When opened up, quillows make a nice lap blanket!
When not using as a lab blanket, fold the quillow up to make a pillow! We especially like these for road trips.
This one was made for one of my four boys! Had to pick fabrics that were more 'guy' friendly!
This one was made for myself for an upcoming hospital stay! It is nice to bring a little comfort from home when surgery comes a callin'. Bring along a little of your favorite teas and helps the healing along!
Added extra little beads and sequins to the top of this one...took longer but really came out nice, placed into the sparkle designs of the fabric!

Quillows are another simple sewing project for beginners to start on! With just a few yards of fabric and equal yards of contrasting fabric and batting, you can have a quillow in no time!
Simplicity.com has a great pattern online in their 'Classroom'.
