One of my long-time favorite sewing projects has been to make these adorable little 35in raggedy twins. I've made variations of patterns, Doctor/Nurse, military Gi's-Ann/andy, AfroAmer beautiful tan skin Ann/Andy, and some customized to the child to receive the twins for Xmas. This set was special because they were one my first whom I gave to my handicapped little sister. She has passed away, so the twins came back to live with me, for as long as I am here in this world. I love making them, and it's hard to part with each set after I spend so long creating them, but I hope they will give love and comfort to the new owners.

Halloween for Granddaughter in 1996, was a bunny suit. We thought it was adorable, but she hates this pic now, (age 15 now)

"Grandmas Memory Quilt" my most cherished sewing project is the memory quilt composed of 24 embroidered blocks of Childrens Story Book and Disney characters from my grand-dtrs. books and movies. We spent many hours at a time reading and watching these characters, when I was her caregiver in her early years. Those precious memories/years will be recreated in our minds when we view the quilt. This quilt is to be a Family Heirloom to be passed onto the next generation. I hope they will enjoy it, as I did sewing it for those several months. (I had purchased a new embroidery machine, this project was my learning experience for the machine) I never did anything the easy way, I've been told. LOL

The last group picture of Raggedy dolls is a snapshot that Brooke (grand-dtr) and I grouped together one day for a Family Reunion Photograph, of some of the dolls that I had made in the past years. (hers, her Mothers, and a set we were working on at that time, the beautiful dark-skinned ones) She became so attached to them, while helping me, she didn't want me to give them to the friend who had commissioned me to make them for a Christmas Gift for her little one.
I've made numerous different Halloween costumes for children through the years, but the Bunny suit is my cutest one thus far.
The Memory Quilt has been my most difficult project because I was learning a new skill, (machine embroidery on new machine). It was created to preserve memories of precious years with my only grandchild in her early years. Those were so special and shall remain as extremely important in my life. The quilt is meant to tell my future generations of those memories that I deeply treasure.
