I recently finished this lighweight, tweed jacket with a wonderful lime green satin lining.

It is beautiful. What pattern did you use?
The Jacket is beautiful. Did you make the pattern? Is the fabric silk? Will you wear it with pants or skirt in the same fabric or contrasting fabric? Please share more information on your design and construction process.
i just love this too. I love the colar and the way you have shown a little of the lining, I have grown to love lining not just as a lining but as an add on. love it. Wish i had your talant.
But over all on this area i get a little frustrated as no one comes on board to answer questions.
e.g. what pattern did you use.
And some weeks ago i ask the editors to consider putting older models in the magazine but no one answered this either so i tried in gatherings but no response either.
I love all the models in Threads but occasionaly a over 40s lady would be nice. So we know that we too can look nice in the suggested patterns and fabric
There is a very similar pattern in the January issue of Burda world of fashion magazine.Pattern 114a,I actually have this one earmarked for my self
An inspiring garment, how nice to see it !
You took on a fairly complicated pattern and completed it ... good for you!
It's a very nicely designed jacket, can anyone edit the post to say what pattern it is?
When I saw this jacket I immediately recognized the pattern. The jacket made by bellpb1966 has some minor alterations to the pattern I have seen. The collar in the picture is bigger, also the pattern is double breasted. The buttonholes in the jacket shown are moved. The pattern is in the January issue of Burda-Fashion,pattern 114a.I subscribe to the magazine,as I find their pattern fitting better then most American patterns.
I think I am seeing larger to smaller buttons on the front of the jacket. I have done this and think it works perfectly with the design. Hope you have lots of compliments when you wear it.
So sorry everyone for not including the pattern information initially. I forgot!
:(
I used McCalls 5759.
