Pink Suit

This pattern is a Sandra Betzina Todays Fit #8043.  I made it in a wool/cashmere blend that I purchased at Paron's Fabrics in New York.  The fit of the jacket is exquisite and I hope to sew more versions in perhaps a boucle.

SewKraZ SewKraZ writes: I lined both the jacket and skirt in matching pink charmeuse. The collar binding was a technique I found in the book "Couture" by Roberta Carr. It is called "magic binding" because it really isn't bound...check it out!

SewKraZ SewKraZ writes: Thanks for the compliments. I did do bound buttonholes. They are easy to achieve and line up perfectly if you follow Sandra Betzina's method in her DVD, "Foolproof Buttonholes". She told a group of us that she learned it from a woman who does them for a small apparel firm. They were perfect and Sandra wanted to know how she did it. I used the technique for the breast pocket, too.
