Large Python Hobo bag
comments (3) March 2nd, 2009 in design, fabric, embellishments, reader's closetThis bag is made from faux python. No snakes were skinned for this creation. It is interfaced with fusible fleece and lined with black cotton duck. The pleather material was a challenge to sew. It took me a while to figure out that I had to place tracing paper under my foot as I stitched but I was pleased with the results. I used a bronze metal ring from my stash to decorate the flap which has a magnetic snap on the back.

Thanks for the comment. I found this python fabric at a factory in a small town in Maine that manufactures bags and also sells left over fabric to the public.
