Victorian Goth Raver ensemble: petticoat, full skirt, corset and evening coat.

Under black light conditions the outfit's embellished fabrics glow revealing layers of fabric manipulation and textural details.

Materials: rip-stop nylon, ribbons, threads, yarn, repurposed ready-made layered silk chiffon skirt and lace corset.

Inspirations:  neural networks, Green Fluorescent Protein.

A how-to on making the Synaptic Fabric can be found on Instructables.

Scooter2 Scooter2 writes: You've taken what I've always considered a very utilitarian fabric, rip-stop nylon, and taken it to new heights. Your coat is wonderful! It would look great on the stage with black lights. My mom gave me a jacket made of rip-stop nylon to take to the Goodwill. It'll never make the trip. I'm going to see if I can do something creative with the fabric.
