Halloween Costume Contest 2016

Victorian Cinderella

I needed a costume I could quickly whip up at the last minute, and Cinderella in the Victorian style was the winner! I used Truly Victorian patterns – TV 416 Ball Gown Basque, TV201 1870s Underskirt, and TV363 1887 Summer Overskirt. The underskirt and bodice were made of blue taffeta with two layers of tulle and a shiny layer of blue organza making up the overskirt and exterior layer of the bodice sleeves. The bodice closed simply with hook and eye tape, with the underskirt closing via drawsrting and the overskirt snapping in place.
