Star Trek, The Original Series Klingon

I looked at numerous web images from the series, and watched the episodes with Kilingons in them to get the feel of the outfit and fabric choices. The outfit is close to screen accurate.

I could not find appropriate fabric, so I used a sheer shiny silver metallic fabric and fused it to grey rayon-type fabric for the top. Before cutting it our I sewed the lined stitching onto the fabric. The pants are made the same way, I fused a slighlty irridescent/metallic sheer fabric over black fabric and cut out the pants.

The black shirt is a mock turtle neck-purchased. The “vest” is a draped pattern fitted to my model, and the pants are basic pajama pants.

The belt is wide elastic, with the buckle made from 1/4″ black plastic material similar to Worbla. The buckle is painted gold and the stones are clear glass glued on. The holster is leather, just formed to fit the disrupter.

Disrupter (the gun) and boots were purchased.

The corner “pins” on the “vest” are buttons sewed in place.

The baldric is made from vinyl painted gold, and then fringed up to a stitching line. The “house badge” is made from an old button & rectangular metal beads sewed onto a leather patch, painted and then sewn onto the baldric.
