Trim Facings for a Better Fit on Sleeveless Garments

    DO you attach the facing to the garment with a 3/4 inch seam also?

    The facing is attached to the garment with the standard 5/8 inch seam allowance.
    By making the armhole facing just a little bit smaller (1/8 inch) and keeping the garment side to the feed dogs of the machine, the facing has to be stretched a little to fit into the opening of the garment, and that's what pulls the armhole facing into the body.
