This straight cut yellow dress is close fitting but not too tight and I made it from 100% cotton and 100% pure silk charmeuse because I prefer to sew with natural fabric. Both fabrics are very lightweight and breathable. The dress has a yoke and asymmetrically cut side front. I ended front seams in a short slit and I made a lining for the dress from 100% white silk also. This dress keeps me cool on hot days, looks fantastic and can be easily dressed up or down with different accessories and shoes. I made self-fabric belt in the back to complement my figure. And I made the hem with a blind hem foot on my Janome sewing machine. I used Butterick pattern B5852 as base and I modified it a little to fit.
