SewStylish Spring Fashion Challenge 2017

Elegant Spring Olive Jacket

This olive jacket is dressed up with accents of a tiny leaf pring on the collar and lining.

This slightly-dressy olive green jacket is lined with the same leafy print of the collar. I pressed the lining so a tiny bit outlines the jacket, like piping.

I started with a basic princess seam jacket pattern and improvised the two-piece collar. It was free-formed from a random piece of fabric left from cutting the lining and overlaps in the back. Elegance is added by the gold overprint of the collar/lining fabric and the slight sheen and delicate texture of the olive fabric.

The sleeves are lined with a silk/cotton blend for easy of movement, making the jacket super comfortable.
