Ran across a few items in a purchased stash from an estate sale that stirred my curiosity...
I had forgotten how much I use to love to embroidery in high school...dig out the floss and hoops and lets go!

Got a little help from an instruction book on how to make some stitches...
Took a pillowcase I had purchased from Goodwill and took a little trip down memory lane!  Fun, folks....

Sometimes, it will do a soul good just to slow down and do something that forces you to reflect and remember!  Recently, I ran across a few items that came in a lot that I had purchased in an estate sale.  What fun, remembering how I use to love to work embroidery in my high school days!

It makes me smile even to see binding tape for 10 cents! I like old patterns that were 25 cents to a dollar, especially little girls, dog, and novelties. But embrodiery patterns always steal my heart. I enjoy things from anywhere, my family or others, that reflect how much they mattered to another woman that she would treasure them and take care of them or they would not still be here. My grandmothers and mother were very poor in the Southern USA and handwork was so important to them. I wanted to be good at it just like them, but I have so far to go!
