This vest is a modified design of the Sewing Workshop's Peony Vest.  The vest is made of black linen and I cut a yoke in the back and inserted a silk dupioni pleat.  Sashiko Stitching in the colors of the silk complete the yoke in a grid pattern.  The armholes and front edges are finished with silk binding.  The vest is lined with black "silky" rayon.

Josefly writes: I, too, love the sashiko embroidery, but I also think your use of the colorful dupioni silk in the pleat and piping really sets off this vest. Great fabric choices and beautiful work. Posted: 10:01 pm on July 30th
