I designed this waist sash myself.  I hand stitched the vine ribbon leading out from the flower.  The flower is actually made from a tutorial given on the THREADS website for a lotus flower.  I made the yo-yo center with a black button.
This photo is of the collar and neckline.  I machine embroidered a vine stitch down and around the neckline to echo the vine on the waist sash.
I used contrasting material for the eight godets.  I decided to double top-stitch each godet seam.

A white linen dress with a splash of spring green for the waist-sash.
