We thought it would be fun to revisit some of our favorite Threads covers and the pages inside for our new spot the difference game. To be a master sewer you need to have an eye for detail. This skill will serve you well as you spot the differences in our classic photos.

Here's how it works:

We're challenging you to spot subtle differences between our original image and a doctored version. You get 200 points for each correct find, but you also lose 50 points for every missed click. Can you get a perfect score of 1200 points? We are starting out with 10 photos, but we are hoping to add more challenging photos soon.

The game can be a little tricky (even the Threads editors have had a bit of trouble), but we wanted it to be a little challenging for you. With some determination you can find all of the differences and master the game.

Debbsie writes: This was fun, fun, fun. I enjoyed it very much and once I started, I had to keep going until I had finished them all. Thanks for providing this great game. Posted: 2:03 am on November 5th
province8 writes: I like the game, but 30 seconds not enough time. Issue 136 shows a difference (buttons on coat) which does not register as such, but subtracts 50 points. The same is true with Issue 144 - "affect you" vs "affect your sewing." Posted: 9:13 am on November 4th

tanyacox2 writes: It would be great but that is not near enough time to even get your eyes focused. Maybe you could have the time it takes a person to find them and then it compares to previous scores. Where are the details on how to play and how much time you have? cmssew writes: Okay, you win. I read each page carefully, noting articles or ideas I had glossed over earlier, or forgotten. So now I shall return to my library of Threads magazine (the only magazine I never toss, and loan under threat of penalty) and I will re-read the articles, and learn something. This was a clever way to remind us that we usually already have the answers to our questions, if we stop and revalue what we already have, instead of reaching for something new ! e12 writes: The "buttons" cover has a 7th error!

It's in the subhead halfway down the left side of the magazine cover to the left. The last letter of that subhead is partially superimposed by a button, whereas on the cover to the right a white space clearly separates button from subhead.

How about giving an extra bonus point to the lady who found the extra error?! Posted: 1:53 am on September 22nd
