Here is an embroidered drawstring bag with eyelet lace trim at the bottom. I got the idea for the bag from Sew Pretty Homestyle. This is my first attempt at embroidery, so it looks a little clumsy. It says "WizardGir1 Sew Sweet". I picked up a book on embroidery with sequins & beads (by Stanley Levy) and I incorporated them to add a little sparkle. I love the sparkle! So from this project I learned:

  • I need to master even stitching
  • I love working with sequins and beads and sparkle and want more, more, more!
  • Ideas for embroidery design and stitching are unlimited, period
  • I can apply this technique to a satin dress that I made to jazz it up (looking forward to it)
  • There are tons of books on the topic! :)
