WizardGir1 Bag
comments (1) October 11th, 2009 in sewing, design, embellishments, embroidery, reader's closetHere is an embroidered drawstring bag with eyelet lace trim at the bottom. I got the idea for the bag from Sew Pretty Homestyle. This is my first attempt at embroidery, so it looks a little clumsy. It says "WizardGir1 Sew Sweet". I picked up a book on embroidery with sequins & beads (by Stanley Levy) and I incorporated them to add a little sparkle. I love the sparkle! So from this project I learned:
- I need to master even stitching
- I love working with sequins and beads and sparkle and want more, more, more!
- Ideas for embroidery design and stitching are unlimited, period
- I can apply this technique to a satin dress that I made to jazz it up (looking forward to it)
- There are tons of books on the topic! :)
