The coat "Honor" is hand dyed silk charmuse and a commercial purchased pattern.  I used Dupont steam fix dyes to dye the cloth.  But before I can start dyeing I draw the design, these are spear heads, on the silk and then I use paint brushes to dye the silk.  After I have finished, this will take few days, I steam fix the silk for four hours.  Then the silk is washed and ironed.  Thanks to threads magazine I learned to iron as I sew, so when I started sewing it to gether the silk charmuse was not as difficult as I had feard.
