Elton John Costume
comments (0) November 1st, 2009 in design, garment construction, embellishments, reader's closetI had my heart set on being Elton John this Halloween and decided I wanted to make my own costume.
I bought a big blazer from Goodwill and altered it to fit me, and then the gluing began! Each sequin was glued on by hand... needless to say, I put a lot of hours into this baby.
The vest was something I created out of an old dress, so those sequins were already attached to fabric.
It's kind of hard to tell from the pictures, but "John" on the back of the blazer meets up to connect to the microphone on the lapel.
I hope you enjoy =)
