I have been buying Threads since around 1998, to receive a one year subscription would be such a gift. I am starting the fashion apparel program here this fall at a local college and Im sure threads for a year would be a great rescource for me as it always is!

I just love all things Threads so winning a year of Threads Insider would be a thrill.

I would love to design a collection with very unusal and modern cuts, bias, blocking, unusual finishes, that sort of think also in eco friendly fabrics

I have been a long time sewer and still have not been through a whole jacket tailoring process, my goal is to learn more tailoring techniques and make a beautiful jacket. This book would be a wonderful resource. Love Claire.

I think I would love to try the basic Aline in a digital print fabric and also cut one out on the bias and see what transpires.

Oh to understand the mystery

I love making a blind hem by hand, it usually means the project is complete.

I would say get someone patient to teach you all about your machine and a few very simple projects, tote bag, straight skirt etc. first. Then move up to something more difficult, read your directions at least ten times and then visualize putting your project together before you go to sleep (kooky but it really helps) take your time and be proud whatever the results. Also get a subscription to Threads!

Love, Love, Love Colette I have been reading the blog for a while now and just love the Colette vision for sewers its very helpful to new sewers and the patterns are super pretty and feminine I think there should be a Colette type teaching studio for sewers/creators in every town!

I would love to learn how to drape a classic wrapover DVFB style dress with side pleats and details at the neckline as well, maybe also attempt a Vionet design that would be a challenge Im sure!

I would love to try my hand at designing my own fabric for some simple little skirts I love to embelish fabric so designing would be fabulous!

LONDON, LONDON, LONDON what goes on in LONDON! Next to New York and Paris there is London I want to go badly but reading about it will have to do for now I cant wait! Suggestion; do more stories about the sewing culture in various locales and create contests for a reader to come along.

I remember watching the grainy footage of Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin walking on the moon on our huge console black and white tv on a hot summer day. How facinating the costruction on those space suits must be!
