I have been sewing since my grandmother started teaching my hand stitching when just 6 or 7 years old. She then taught me on a treadle Singer machine, which is now my treasure. I own Berninas and a Babylock serger, along with a 40+ year old Good Housekeeping zigzag machine that was my first machine as a teenager. Love all crafts but sewing is my love.

To Georgia_red: I believe the instructions to turn under the "short ends" means to turn under the short side -- you have basically a rectangle of binding and the "ends" of the strip would be the short side of the rectangle. So you are turning under the raw edge on the ends of the binding...Hope this helps. Good luck!
