Re: Apply Elastics to Your Garments

I am surprised that fold-over elastic application on a neckline doesn't require "snugging in the neckline" a bit in relation to the length of the elastic so it won't gap. Maybe the neckline is first stay-stitched to insure it hugs the body?

Re: The Sleeve-Cap Seam and the Armscye

I have seen references to a three piece sleeve in several Threads articles. I have never seen one. Can you explain how a three piece sleeve is designed? Thank you

Re: How to Create a Draped Cowl Neckline

Why not cut the resulting pattern on the bias? It would probably hang more beautifully. If you did, can I assume you must cut both front and back on the bias even if the back did not have the cowl neckline.

Also where would you put lingere guards? It seems they would be visible from shoulder seams across the front (or back) to prevent slipping off the shoulder.

Re: Re-create Couture Pleated Silk Organza Panels

A thank you to Cinsred5 for the computer tip. I've often wondered how to enlarge images. A big help!

Lovely project, Susan and Cheryl. Thank you.

Re: More Fortuny! Yes, More!

Did you hem the sleeves before stretching them? Thanks for the great demo.

Re: Get Biased

Thank you for the correction. However, when adding 1" to these measurements as in the next step, it seems there is no allowance for ease. Is this due to the stretch inherent in bias?...or should one also add a couple inches for ease? Thank you.
