Re: Amanda's wedding dress
Sewing can create a wonderful bond between mother and daughter. You have created a beautiful gown! It is a treasured work of art and as well as a treasured memory.

Re: What's on Your Sewing Wish List?
Well, I got my gift early.
posted: 9:38 am on December 22ndI'm sewing with my Mom's Touch and Sew 646 thanks to Sue and Bud at the Singer service center in Syracuse. (I inherited it in 2001, but it wasn't working. I brought it home with me after visiting my Dad and Sis this year. )
Re: As a sewist, what are you most thankful for?
ELECTRICITY !... It makes my sewing machine run. It also gets me on the Internet. Since I can't call up my original sewing teachers (Mom and Grandmom) there is always a friendly sewing expert on the Internet to answer my questions.
posted: 7:29 am on November 23rdI'm beginning to enjoy hand sewing, now that I've given in to Bifocals, but the convenience of my sewing machine is still my favorite. Electricity rocks! ;)
