Re: Transform an Old Pair of Jeans into a Cell Phone Wallet

I needed a way to carry my phone while gardening or walking so made a simpler one to attach to a belt

Re: Don't forget to Vote for the Winner of the 2014 Fancy Fabrics Challenge

Such beautiful work. They all deserve to win, but the Tutu is elegant, impeccably constructed, and has hand work and machine work that is above and beyond in construction

Re: Two-book Giveaway

It is rewarding to be with so many fabric lovers. I love the structure you can create with wool paired with the softness and drape of silk. Silk is still a challenge to work with but so rewarding when I am finished. Lately knits have begun to be fun for me

Re: Big Sew Stylish Giveaway: Books, Sketching Panels, Pincushions, and more!

I love it when the dresses from eras gone by featured on the back of Threads inspires me to incorporate a detail in my every day clothes. Sometimes a feature can go on a collar, cuff or pocket. Other times it might end up on the bottom of a pant leg. Inspiration is everywhere, but vintage features usually speak to me

Re: Magazine Giveaway: "Threads" Issue #165 (February/March 2013)

I really enjoy smocking. It is very rewarding to stand back and see your completed work. I also like to pic stitch a zipper or do blanket stitch by hand. It is a relaxing hobby.

Re: What are Your Favorite Embroidery Software Features?

I had VIP embroidery software, but need something newer as my new computer doesn't like the outdated software even though I was happy with what I had. Any words of wisdom without paying a fortune for software for a hobby?

Re: Book Giveaway: "The Big Book of Flax"

Flax is unchartered territory for me. It is about time Itried this fabric. I love linnen, so I should love flax as well.

Re: Help us Choose the Next Threads Cover

I was drawn directly to the colorful title in cover A. I also felt there was too much writing on cover B. The titles of any of the stories highlighted would draw me into the magazine, so cover A again wins my vote. Can't wait to get my hands on the next copy

Re: Book Giveaway--Ribbon Embroidery: Simple Stitches for Easy Embellishments

The inspiration to make my creations uniquely mine are what drives my sewing creations. I can't wait to find this book.
