I retired from teaching young children after 30 years. I now make jewelry to sell and teach jewelry classes. Wire crochet is my specialty, but I enjoy forging, too. My long time interest in sewing and clothing design gives me a change of pace. I also teach Chanel jacket techniques using the traditional or my speedy method. Check out my Threads articles in issues 128 (Shortcut to a Designer Jacket) and 130 (Wire + Crochet = Couture Buttons).

Re: Mega Quilt Giveaway

My greatest thrill in quilting was designing a memory quilt for my parents on their 60th wedding anniversary. I went through boxes of their photos knowing I was limited to 5 or 6 pictures. At the anniversay party, I taped a fabric to a table top and everyone signed it. The king size quilt top was displayed at the party. The signature piece was included in the back and I quilted it on my 1988 Bernina machine. Was I crazy?!!!

Re: BOOK GIVEAWAY: A Field Guide to Fabric Design

I recently visited Springs Creative in Rock Hill, SC and learned so much about the process of fabric design. They have a wonderful work area and a terrific archive of fabrics from over 100 years! This book would increase my knowledge in an area of interest....

Re: DVD GIVEAWAY: Industry Insider Techniques with Louise Cutting Volumes 1-4

I appreciate Louise's ability to make things that are complicated seem so easy. Her directions are always precise. Having these videos would give me access to so many of her clever ideas and I could share them with the beginning sewests in my American Sewing Guild.
