I have been receiving Threads Magazine for a number of years, and I love fabrics and sewing. Although I read about sewing, and attend lectures about sewing more than I actually sew. Inspecting garments in high end departments and designer and couture are a passion of mine. I dont do anything with the information other than think about it, and stay in awe of the way fabric can be manipulated and tamed. Classes, I like attending classes and learning about what can be done in a couture house, Dont really know what to do with my passion; but I love it occupying my mind when I give it time.

I am having difficulty sewing a dress for a 25' doll, Vintage style... the dress involves a very wide skirt and needs to puff out dramatically. Any suggestions for resources... finding fabric that I can gather for the waist is also a problem. Your accomplishments with fine tuning draped blouses in miniature is amazing to me.

Totally love this jacket, especially the back. Lots of patience and love expressed in this piece. Thanks for sharing.
