Re: Firming Up Fabrics with Gelatine
to user 2000844: No. it's not confusing. Directions say to add the GELATINE SOLUTION to the quart of hot water. (But. upon rereading, you've probably already figured that out!)
posted: 8:42 am on October 24thBTW: the tip about using gelatine is terrific. Thanks, so much, for sharing it with the rest of us. I cannot wait to try it the next time I'm working with such soft, slippery fabrics.
Re: Carla's Opera Coat
Regarding the opera coat, I enjoyed seeing it and reading about it. I find it elegant. In the era of the coat, garments were much more "constructed" than is the current practice.
posted: 12:48 am on August 17thI'm disappointed some other readers didn't appreciate the coat and the article. No matter if not THEIR particular taste, but why enjoy reading about the coat the provenance, and so forth.
Thanks.
