I grew up in central Illinois and began sewing at an early age. My mother was my teacher at first. As I became older I joined 4-H Club and learned even more.I also took sewing in school whenever it was offered. I prided myself on doing a good job that looked good. I got many ribbons and some special ones. After I married I began working at a fabric store in New London Ct.(long way from home !)We were expected to make the model garments for the store and sometimes even put on model shows.I was constantly learning new things. My new mothr-in law taught me even more. ---Eventually I took my sewing to another level of gift making, crafts, and making purses and tote bags. My Crazy Quilt purses and diaper bags with lots of embelishments are a big hit. I have more fabric than I ever know what I will do with!!I have given much of it away already and am about ready for another "weeding of my garden". Judy Happy Sewing

Re: Share Your Sweetest Notions
When I first recieved this notion from my Granddaughters,I thought it was a neclace!(which it is, of sorts)It is a thread cutter in the form of a round disc ingraved with flowers that has notches cut out all around the edge for cutting your thread. It comes on a chain and is brass in color. Sorry I don't have a picture to show you,but you might be able to find it in a sewing notions catalog or in the notions section of your fabric store. It is made by Clover. Happy Sewing!
