Hello everyone! My name is Elyse and I learned to sew around seven years old by watching my mother. I started using a sewing machine when I was nine (my mom made me take lessons!). About a year later I became addicted to croqueting and did that for a couple years. I also tried a little bit of cross stitching and knitting, but it didnt really go anywhere. In my early teen years I loved sewing my own skirts. Ive sort of been on and off with my sewing projects since then. I want to start sewing some Audrey Hepburn style(1950s) dresses for casual everyday wear. I really like simple styles and quality fabrics. Right now Im working on ideas for a dress Ill need for an upcoming pageant this summer. Im excited to start working on it and maybe getting some tips from all you sewing pros out there!
