A designer who is new to me. Would love to try the patterns.
Sewing is an art, but also a skill. Improving my skills will improve my art.
I love the outfits worn by Ingrid Bergman in Casablanca. You could wear those today. Also, the dresses worn by Bette Davis in Now, Voyager after her makeover.
I love the idea of combining sewing and mystery. These books sound like great fun and I think I would truly enjoy them.
These DVD's look amazing. Louise is a wonderful teacher and her knowledge and experience are conveyed beautifully. I am always trying to improve my skills and these would go a long way to accomplish that.
Let's see, Easy Ease, Serger Secrets, Lace Top....Well, you get the idea. Looks like lots of helpful stuff in this issue. No matter how much sewing I do, there is always more to learn, my favorit part!!!
I learned to sew by watching my Mother. When I wanted to improve my skills, Threads was there to provide instruction and inspiration. To have all issues at my fingertips would be invaluable.
As someone who learned to sew by watching my mother, I have been trying to learn couture techniques ever since. Mom lovingly made many garments and curtains but lacked the training to move to the next level. That's my goal, increasing my knowledge and perfecting my techniques.
