Re: DVD GIVEAWAY: Industry Insider Techniques with Louise Cutting Volumes 1-4

What a great series to have in my home. I wish I could win this. I'll be teaching my granddaughters to sew, and this would make it a breeze!

Re: Roll Hemming a Curve Made Easy

What a great idea! Glad you thought of it. I will be trying this method very soon. The tutorial made it look so easy. Where can we purchase that hot knife? Thank you.

Re: BOOK GIVEAWAY: "Couture Sewing Techniques" by Claire B. Shaeffer

I hope I'm lucky enough to get a copy of Claire's new book on techniques. I find her explanations in Threads Magazine to be so easy to follow, I would love a whole book of her techniques. I know I could follow her comments.

Re: BOOK GIVEAWAY: "Couture Sewing Techniques" by Claire B. Shaeffer

I would LOVE to have a copy of Claire Shaeffer's new book Couture Sewing Techniques. I always read her articles as soon as my Threads magazine arrives in the mail. Since I am detail-oriented, I find techniques fasinating, especially those from Claire. I am starting to get my sewing articles, books, etc. organized in order to help others get interested in sewing -- for instance my daughter-in-law and nieces. Thank you.

Re: Online Shopping and Resource Guide

I love farmhousefabrics.com. First heard of it while shopping at Joann's from another shopper. Does anyone know of a website where I can purchase white fabric for curtains? I love cafe (or tiered curtains) in bedrooms, and was stunned when I went shopping for new curtains. Not only are there curtain stores anymore, but I'm finding very few places where you can purchase curtains (especially with swags with ruffles)so I plan to make new ones.,

Re: MAGAZINE GIVEAWAY: "Designer Techniques"

I have subscribed to Threads for years, and would love to have a copy of the new designer techniques magazine. I love using new techniques in my sewing to produce more professional looking looking garments.

Re: Book Giveaway: "1,000 Clever Sewing Shortcuts & Tips"

If you want your sewing project to look professional, TAKE YOUR TIME AND DO IT RIGHT. Be sure you understand your pattern before cutting, make sure every seam is pressed and if something doesn't look right, take the time to make it right. Ripping out a seam or two is much easier than completing the project and always seeing that mistake.

Re: Sewing In a Zipper
I've been trying everywhere to get instructions on how to handle a center back zipper when a sleeveless dress is completely lined. I seen RTW made this way (on better RTW) and I would love to learn what the steps are in creating a garment like this. The RTW appears to have no hand-stitching when inserting the zipper. Please help this Grandmother achieve this goal.
