Born in the 60's - Tried to live up to the Flower child hippy image by sewing all my own clothes. Covered everything in braid and yo- yo's ( what was I thinking!)and I have been sewing everything from clothes to shabby chic stuffed furniture ever since. Gonna have to keep sewing cause my fabric stash ( caused by my incredible fabric obsession) has enough fabric to keep me going til the year 2050 ( I should live so long lol)

Wonderful article - now I have to go back to my favourite store here in Toronto, Fabricland. They are having their Boxing week sale and guess what's on sale for half price!! Of course -- boiled wool. Oh no -- more fabric for the stash -- need another week off to sew, sew sew

Love this idea!! I'm a fullsome woman and I can still make this because of it's simple design -- I think I'd like to try making it with some fake fur for a fall weather topper
