I plan to sew a few home items (pillows, table linens) for my family members this year. Hopefully I'll be able to pull that off since my actual sewing always seem to fall far short of my sewing hopes!
I would love to make some clothes using my own fabric. Thanks for the chance!
I reference my collection of Threads magazines A LOT. It would be so great to have a DVD instead of trying to thumb through a giant stack of *well loved* magazines!
Threads always puts out such wonderful sewing references! Thanks for the chance to add this one to my library.
I am always impressed by Madame Gres's designs. Her clothes are so beautifully sculptured and elegant!
I've only made things from purchased patterns or by copying an existing article of clothing. I would love to learn how to drape and take my sewing to the next level. Thanks for the chance to win this book!
My main Spring project will be a casual cotton skirt and top. I'm just looking for the perfect fabrics to inspire me to start sewing!
I love sewing for my 5 year old niece. She's the only girl in our whole brood and she loves the girly-girl look so this book would be wonderful!
The tip I use most frequently: change your needle often. It really helps the sewing go much more smoothly!
Crewelwork is my favorite kind of embroidery - I love the textured look the wool creates and the deep, earthy colors it comes in.
I am just starting to teach some friends to sew. It's a wonderful skill to pass along and we have fun learning it at the same time. Thanks for the opportunity to win this great resource!
