I've been sewing since my mom taught me to sew when I was 8 years old. I have my own sewing business which is only 2 years old. I specialize in prom and bridal gowns but also do alterations. I love the Threads mag for the inspiration and instruction!

I am currently taking sewing classes at the local college. I have been sewing for years (I'm the oldest student in my classes by far!). I see students who have great fashion ideas but no knowledge of how to make what they have designed. They are not even sure if the idea will work or not. It sure is a handicap for them.
