Re: MAGAZINE GIVEAWAY: "Quick Stuff to Sew"
This past year I have been buying up small hardcover notebooks. I will be making quilted covers for them, designed specifically for each recipient, to give this Christmas.

I do not watch Project Runnway due to all the drama.

Re: What will you be sewing this summer?
I will be sewing for my grandbaby. Next to Jesus, she owns my heart. I have picked up an 18" doll and matching patterns for the doll and my grandbaby and I will be making the matching outfits. I said I would NEVER make another doll wardrobe, but for her, the moon is the limit.

I wouldn't mind winning this. I could use the help. I have recently been asked by a local junior high school to help with costumes, PLUS I have a brand new grandbaby I want to create for.

Re: Organza beaded "feather" edge
When cleaning, don't the beads come off? There doesn't seem to be anything to keep them on the trim.

Re: What is the strangest project you have ever sewn?
A friend asked if I could fix the hood for her horse.

Re: Sewing In a Zipper
I too would like to know about zippers and linings. I have always had a difficult time with this.
posted: 4:15 pm on July 26thTO Lorraine, you have to let the fusible interfacing cool before sewing. THis should help a lot.
Re: Decorative pockets or bound buttonholes
Thanks for this. THis has always driven me up a wall. I could never get it to look right.

posted: 2:48 pm on July 26thI use a Bernina and it is very close to the one I use. It is only missing the special foot and the screws to attach it to the sewing bed.
Thanks for the opportunity to help.
Love your tips and hints.

I haven't been a subscriber for very long, only 3 years, but it was a difficult decision. I love them all. How about the one about fitting a pair of pants well.

This is so fabulous! THere are a lot of applications for this. I agree with sew4mary that it is more modern than traditional, but what a great idea.

Thank you for the wonderful instructions on the Hong Kong seaming. It makes for a beautiful piece.

I'm thinking (look out) this will be the extra special personal touch to my grandbaby's dedication gown.
