I've been sewing for as long as I can remember; at first by hand when I was small. Then, at age 11, my mother let me use her machine. I've had many successes over the years and many failures. Perhaps what I'm best at is UFOs. My fear of failure has inhibited me since I didn't sew for over 25 years and I'm gradually getting back in.

Re: Take a Free Trial of PatternPal, an App for Sewing Supplies

I would love to have this app! Moreover, I really need it to help me get my sewing stuff organized. Please ask Blueshift Software for a few more codes.

Re: BOOK GIVEAWAY: "Couture Sewing Techniques" by Claire B. Shaeffer

I like having the insides of my garments and other projects look as good as the outsides, even if no one ever sees them. Learning Claire Schaeffer's techniques would really help.

Re: Finally! Project Runway is Ready to Roll

I agree with most of the other posters: forget the drama. There are other reality shows to watch if that's all you want. Sewing shows are few and far between — especially in prime time.

Re: New Sewing Show, "It's Sew Easy," Starts June 30 on PBS

I hope our PBS station will carry this. Also, as many comments above noted, it will be good to sewing real garments, not "quick projects," decorating, or heaven forbid another quilting sew or demonstration on "felting." Thank you, Gretchen Hirsch.

Re: MAGAZINE GIVEAWAY: "Designer Techniques"

I love Threads for its basic features plus exquisite designer details. This would be a wonderful addition to my library.

Re: Book Giveaway: Successful Serging

I've had a serger for a year and a half and the only successful project I've started is a cover for my standing mixer. I know I can do much more. This book seems like it could get me jump-started on a new project.
