I got my first taste of sewing when I was in high school. Funnily enough, I managed to create an ACTUAL functional object by the end of my home ec class... it was a multi-pouched hanging organizer thingy of sorts. I was rather proud of it, and I also got a decent grade from memory.

Ive dabbled in sewing here and there since then. Ive made a fabric book cover, cloth diapers (aka nappies), a few toddler dresses that used to be mens button down shirts... Ive done nothing serious and most of the items Ive made have not been from a pattern, but out of my own mind. I consider myself a novice - not quite a beginner, but definitely not an expert.

One thing I do know is that Ive developed a taste for sewing. In fact, Im in the process of upgrading my sewing machine from a basic model to a much more expensive (and more capable) machine. Only $396 more to do until its all payed off and I can take it home! Haha!
