posted: 12:58 pm on January 19thRe: Synaptic | A Victorian Raver Ensemble
You've taken what I've always considered a very utilitarian fabric, rip-stop nylon, and taken it to new heights. Your coat is wonderful! It would look great on the stage with black lights. My mom gave me a jacket made of rip-stop nylon to take to the Goodwill. It'll never make the trip. I'm going to see if I can do something creative with the fabric.

This is such an elegant and beautiful wedding dress. I especially love the Alencon Lace jacket. Using several different colored taffeta roses at the waist is a nice touch.
posted: 11:15 am on January 19thRe: Sari remade into bridal gown.
An Indian friend of mine gave me several beautiful sari's. She suggested that I cut them up and make quilts, but I felt that cutting them up would destroy the beauty of them. I thought about using them to drape over a window, but the colors didn't really match my house. Your dress design accentuates the beauty of the fabric.

This is one of the nicest Santa outfits I've seem. Your choice of fabric and trims really make it special. What a sweet father-in-law you must have to want to bring joy to the hearts of the children in his town.
posted: 10:48 am on January 19thRe: Thinking Spring with my "fabric doodling"
I love the blouse. I can't wait to run upstairs (where my sewing machine is) and try out your idea on some silky fabric I have. This technique would be beautiful on the hem of a skirt. Also fun would be placing the twin needle rows close together and completely texturizing a fabric, then cut pattern pieced out.I might also try various stitch designs and see what effect I would get on the satin
