Dr Selena Eon holds a bachelor’s degree in Whole Foods based Nutrition and a graduate degree in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle, one of the four federally accredited medical universities specializing in the natural healing arts. Dr Eon’s naturopathic education taught her the same basic sciences studied by medical doctors, but also provided her with the knowledge of holistic and nontoxic approaches to therapy, with a strong emphasis on disease prevention and optimizing wellness. After graduation, she was personally trained by Dr. Dean Howell, the creator of NeuroCranial Restructuring. She was raised in the woods of western Washington, a lifelong lover of the cycles inherent in nature- this upbringing has gifted her with a strong understanding of the connection between the health of our planet and the well-being of the people who live on it. She practices in Bellevue, WA with her father, Dr Dean Howell, ND, the developer of NCR. Her small, patient-centered practice provides patients with a close connection and collaborative environment with which to regain health. She is a member of the Washington Association of Naturopathic Physician and the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians. Her interests include conservationism, fashion design, sewing, basket-weaving, fiber arts, the outdoors, fitness, whole foods cooking, reading, music and spending time with her husband and two children.

Hi, thanks for the nice comments. It's ironic that I made this last summer, before seeing the new edition of threads featuring this technique :) The fabric in my hoody shown above is a 100% cotton vintage sweatshirt fleece. It IS a challenge to work with double layers of it because of the thickness so I had to do LOTS of hammering seams flat to be able to stitch it, especially at the sides. I have made simpler versions, without the finished edges-- you can see them in my etsy shop. The single layer version is much easier to sew-- but I do love the one above-- everywhere I wear it, I turn heads my way!
