I have sewn more years than I care to remember. It a true passion of mine that I am always trying to perfect. I have studied with and have admired Susan Khalje, who has been an inspirational influence on my accomplishments of late.
I love the sewing process as much as I do wearing the garments. It is a prerequisite for the type of sewing I do.

I lined both the jacket and skirt in matching pink charmeuse. The collar binding was a technique I found in the book "Couture" by Roberta Carr. It is called "magic binding" because it really isn't bound...check it out!

Thanks for the compliments. I did do bound buttonholes. They are easy to achieve and line up perfectly if you follow Sandra Betzina's method in her DVD, "Foolproof Buttonholes". She told a group of us that she learned it from a woman who does them for a small apparel firm. They were perfect and Sandra wanted to know how she did it. I used the technique for the breast pocket, too.
