Hi,

My name is Sheree and I am a wife to a great guy and mom to two super fun kids!

I am a chemist by training (I have a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from MIT), but hung up my lab coat back in 2002 when I decided to stay home to be a full time mom to my newborn baby. I have been sewing since I was 12 and once starting a family, I started sewing less for myself and more for my kids and my home. In addition to sewing, I enjoy knitting, cooking, gardening (organically), photography, painting, designing and writing on my blog (www.shereesalchemy.typepad.com). I also run two online shops...Sheree's Alchemy is my online fabric shop (www.shereesalchemy.com) and Sheree's Atelier is my online boutique (www.shereesatelier.com).

I am launching a new line of sewing patterns for the home sewer. They will debut at the International Quilt Market in Houston Texas this October 2009. I'll also have a booth at Quilt Festival here in Houston as well. I am excited about planting my feet firmly in this industry. And while I am not intending to head back to the lab as a chemist, I will always be a chemist at heart! I just mix up fabulous fabrics, fibers and trims instead of chemicals. It is alot less messy and nearly as much fun!

Hugs,
Sheree
