Re: DVD GIVEAWAY: Threads Magazine Archive, 1985-2011
I've been a subscriber since issue 6 and have almost all of the magazines as part of my reference library.

Re: BOOK GIVEAWAY: "Couture Sewing Techniques" by Claire B. Shaeffer
A refresher on interlining and underlining would be useful. I love Claire's articles, her patterns and I love hand/couture sewing -- I must be getting old because as a 4-Her I was always inventing ways to minimize the amount of hand sewing I had to do. And I was pretty good at creative alternatives -- with a box of purple ribbons to show for my ingenuity!

Seeing the finished garment, on a human would have added an awful lot to this article. Detailed photography of the process is great but a pic of the final product can really make the viewers drool & dive in.

I love all kinds of hand embroidery - my Great Grandma taught me to embroider when I was 5 years old. Her work was impeccable so I learned high quality standards. And I thank her every day for instilling perfection standards in me!

Those who are learning to sew or working to add to their skill set, would benefit a great deal from seeing an actual finished garment in the photos. While most experienced seamstresses are able to visualize an awful lot, inexperienced or novice seamstresses sometimes aren't so lucky. Just a thought for future articles.

Now, everyone, back to your sewing machines!
Re: Book Giveaway: Easy Guide to Sewing
Looks like a very interesting book - would love it for my library.
