I started sewing as a preschooler becasue it was an easy way for my grandmother to keep me busy while she sewed. She also taught me to cook at about the same time. My other grandmother taught me to crochet and embroidery. Now I teach my grandchildren and great-grandchildren. I still sew because I can't find cloths that fit much less please my taste. I find that my sewing, crocheting, and knitting are relaxing, fun and productive. Who can ask for more?

Re: Book Giveaway: "Creating a Successful Fashion Collection"

I've been sewing for a very long time and I feel that there is a need for comfortable clothing for us older ladies who don't feel like we're on our last leg and sure don't want to look like it. Relaxed fit and elastic are not the only way to go. It's just what's there. I also think that we need more nice cloths for people with handicaps. They have special needs but the also need to feel like they look nice.

Re: Tangerine Tango

I think I'll sit this one out. I know the colors have to cycle between the two sides of the wheel. I sew for family members that this would look great on. I just don't happen to be one of them. I'll tango in some other color, maybe a true red.
