I have sewn since was about ten, but I didn't *learn* to sew until I was in my mid-twenties. No matter how accomplished I become, I will never be as good as I would like to be. I sew for myself and my friends and my clients, and I make Halloween costumes for my son.

I love sewing more than anything else I do.

Garment as sculpture is something that has always fascinated me. He was the master! Would love to feast my eyes on this book.

Re: BOOK GIVEAWAY: "Couture Sewing Techniques" by Claire B. Shaeffer

Oh, I long to take the couture plunge! I'm especially interested in bound buttonholes and welt pockets! Great give away! Thanks!

Re: Do you plan to make a Valentine gift for someone special?

I am making my son a heart pillow that will have arms and legs and a face. He will LOVE it! I can't wait to give it to him.

Re: Book Giveaway: "Horrockses Fashions: Off-the-Peg Style in the '40s and '50s"

Oh, what a brilliant book! Thanks so much for the opportunity to win it. *fingers crossed* <3

Re: As a sewist, what are you most thankful for?

I'm most grateful for any time that I have to sew. It's very little, and I dream all day, every day of sewing. When I finally get to sew, it's a wonderful feeling.

Re: Giveaway: Simplicity Rotary Cutting Machine

Wow, what will they think of next! I always make my own bias binding strips. This would certainly make it easier!

Re: Help us Choose the Next Threads Cover

I was also drawn to the blue background. That is the prettiest cover, but I voted for the white background because the headline about sweater knits is more interesting to me.

I live for your magazine. Thank you.
