I'm starting a Junoir American Sewing Guild group in my area to help younger people (8 through 22)gain some sewing experience and advance their skills.

Since sewing isn't taught in most schools anymore, I hopr this will breed interest and enthusiasm for sewing and creativity.

I have 2 grandkids, 1 boy and 1 girl, starting in this group, and 2 more waiting to be old enough to join!

craft interests: crochet, embroidery, knitting, quilting, restyle, sewing, recycling clothes

Re: Book Giveaway: "Girl's World" by Jennifer Paganelli

I have been sewing for girls for years! I have 3 grand-daughters, ages 13, and 6(twins). They all have their own sewing machines, and have basic sewing skills. The twins started at 3, when they helped sew their own Easter dresses.
I also teach a small sewing group of girls,(and 1 boy) with The American Sewing Guild. These kids all have a love of sewing, and I try to find things for them to learn and sew.
We also do charity sewing to show our love of sewing and
along with giving someone a smile.
I would love to win this book, so I can have fresh ideas, and be able to better teach the girls on their levels.
I sew for family, friends and anyone with a need for sewing.
My favorite is for girls, because their eyes just light up.
Last year, I made the twins' Baptismal dresses to their delight, and raves fon others on how pretty they were =O).
Thanks for the consideration!

Re: Book Giveaway: Successful Serging

I'm starting a Junoirs group for our local American Sewing Guild Chapter to give younger people (6 through 22) more sewing knowledge and experience. Since this isn't taught in many schools anymore.

This way, they can learn with their peers, and maybe some moms can get back into sewing, too.
